So the continuation of my dreaded Monday post is that my loved one got the results of her tests and the verdict................STAGE 4. To those who don't know what this means, it means that you should basically pack your bags for a one way trip to Heaven. Devastating is the understatement of the year. What do we do, how am I/we suppose to feel. Do we just give up, do we go with what the doctors say??? So many questions & feelings I couldn't put them all down if I wanted to!

Well this sweet special person informs me that she is not going anywhere, she has WAY to much life left, so the next step........hit the computer. I have been looking at remedies, holistic, medical and any other idea I can find to help. Believe it or not I found a lot of promising things, but mostly I am finding comfort in prayer. I have been pouring my heart out to the Lord, asking for one of his tender mercies to save this amazing person. To my greatest relief I have found some calmness in this raging storm.

She is my rock, she is still perky & laughing. She is finding inner peace, her happy place. Life has a whole new perspective. She is determined to make her life count, to love & live every moment. I am in quiet wonderment. What an amazing example. Thank you, thank you, for being part of my life. I feel that there is much more happiness to come!

My Forever Blessings

So now that Christmas is right around the corner I thought I'd take a minute to show you my best christmas gift, my children. They are perfect & flawed in so many wonderful ways. I have had the amazing blessing of being awarded their lives, their spirits and their intense personalities. I am truely the most blessed person on earth (at least I think so). Thank you Heavenly Father for trusting me with these amazing little beings.

So as Monday's go........ I was right on track. Everyone woke up late, kids late to school, NOTHING could go smooth to save my life. So needless to say by this afternoon, I was exhausted. I was ready to call it a day and then I got the DREADED phone calls, you know the ones that make time stand still, the world quit spinning. Where it's hard to breath or think, or feel. Someone eternally close to me called to inform me that at a recent doctors visit they had found something that looked "bad" so they took a sample and sent it off to the lab.

And the results are back...................."CANCER" the worst word in the English language. All you can think is, "this isn't real", why, not them, not fair, what will I do without them???? The questions are just running through my brain. I am trying so hard to hold back the tears, this person is one of the single most important people in my life. Take someone else, not her!

Then this amazing person tells me it's going to be okay, we'll make it through. How can they be so strong? How is it even possible. So back to reality I come, telling her that I love her, and we'll get through it. We have to, she has so much life to live!

Then I pray, I pray harder than I have ever prayed. I call the temple to submit her name, and then I pray some more. It will be okay, I know it will.

So the moral to the story is, LOVE like it's the last time. NEVER hold back your feelings for someone you love. ALWAYS tell them you love them. FOREVER be faithful until the end.

I don't know what the future holds for me and this special lady, but I know that everyone that loves her so dearly will be right there with her, all the way, through thick and thin, because it's what we do for those we love. Prayer is the most powerful thing in the world, one of my favorite sayings is,

"When life gets to hard to stand, kneel!"

So I have to just have a vent minute to say that I admire anyone who has a company AND has EMPLOYEE'S......... we have had the privilege have having employee's and I can just say that it TOTALLY SUCKS. They are always whining, complaining, thinking that they are getting the bad end of things. Then you have to add to the fun when they decide that they aren't whining ENOUGH so they send their spouse after you. No matter what you do, how much you accommodate, give & take it in the shorts they will bad mouth you.

Even the employee's that you treated great, paid without question (after being burned by past employee's and them lying on what is owed to them) driving to there bank, making sure that they are taken care of and they STILL bad mouth you.

I just have to take comfort in KARMA, I hope that they receive 100 times what they gave. I just can't stand them, I hope that one day they TOO can be on the the receiving end of ungratefulness

WHERE HAVE I BEEN YOU ASK.........well lets just say life has been busy. Christmas came and went with lots of giggles, stress, smiles & hugs!!! We had a great holiday and loved the snow that showed up (better late than never) helps the holiday feel right for me at least! The kids got all that they wanted (for the moment) and are happily making their list for next year!

As for normal "traditions" in our life the end of the year is always a stressful one. For whatever reason money is more eliousive than normal. So this year I made it a point to remember that Christmas is not about the gifts, its about our Lord and Savior's birth. We tried this year to really focus on that and not the materialistic part of the holiday.

So now on to the New's Years and the resolution department! I have to say the last year I actually really did good on accomplishing my goals, in part I think because I simplified my list. I only put on there 5 things, yep just 5. I combined 2 year long goals, 2 short term goals and one spiritual goal. This year I struggled a little more but still stuck to my 5 things and so far and I am doing alright.

NOW......the hard part, the husband had to go out of state AGAIN for work. Now I am feeling a little torn on this one. On one hand I am unbelieveably grateful he has work, at this time in history we are doing well to check that item off our list! Now on the other hand I'm feeling picked on, it's not fair, why do I have to raise our 6 kids on my own, why do I have to pick up all the slack, why does HE get the vacation, LOL! I have found myself really relying on the Lord more than ever. Not only in helping me to survive the day to day things, but with help keeping me positive (this is harder than you think when you're me). Through it all I have "managed" and it's all due to answered prayers.

For all of you out there who don't believe in the Lord, you don't know what your missing. You should try praying sometime, what are you out???? You may be surprised at the outcome!

So YES I voted and found it a different experience this time. I went fairly early that day to avoid the rush and soon found out that the rush was already there. As I sat and watched those around me and wondered what they were thinking????? Were they there out of duty, pressure, concern, frustration????

I overheard they're concerns, complaints, funny out takes, jokes etc. The one thing that I did notice is that everyone felt happy to be there. They felt it a privilege to voice their concerns, their wants, their irritation by voting for who they believe will make a change?

Will the change come....... I truly don't know, but I can say this, at least where I live, people have had enough. It's time to take back what is ours, our Country. Have you notice that as time has passed from our founding fathers who believed in God, to the modern day that you can barely speak his name in fear that you may "offend" someone that the true core values that this nation was founded on are almost non-existant? Our families are broken, respect & gratitude is optional, people feel "entitled" to what everyone else has........Think about it

As Americans we have been given a gift from God, to live in such an amazing place. A place where and "average" person can become anything they want with hard work and determination, where the "unsung" hero's are every where. Where the beauty of the land varies in every direction. Where we are free to worship how and who we may. Where complete strangers will sacrifice what they have for those they don't know.

The United States of America is a land blessed by God, and by his hand. The saying comes to mind......"Where much is given, much is expected!" I feel truly blessed to live in this land. I am forever filled with love, respect and admiration for all those who have and still fight to protect our rights and our way of life.

I shutter at those who live under this great flag and have no respect for it. I am saddened that our leaders are so dishonest, self serving, pompous, and arrogant to believe that this nation is great because of them. I hope that WE as a people will not loose sight any more of what makes us "Great", that which is good, kind, charitable, & God like. If this offends you, than move on......

The update is that my husband finally got a job (YEAH.....) now the down side is that he has to work out of town. Yep and to make things even better he works 6 days a week. So we get to see him for about 24 hours a week. So I'm not trying to complain (to much) but it has been a little overwhelming being a single parent to 6 kids!

I have always admired single parents.... My mom after 15 years became a single parent to 5 kids, I have a cousin who is a single parent to 4 kids, and a best friend who is a single parent to 3 kids. With this experience comes a great appreciation for everything that I have. My kids are happy, healthy & sassy, I have a hard working husband that loves us so much that he makes huge sacrifices for our family's better good. I don't know why I am so very lucky but I am very thankful.

I'm trying to look at this as a short inconvience for a long blessing...... I can't say that my attitude stay's gratiful all the time, but I'm trying to keep in check.

For all of you single parents, my prayers are in your corner, my hat is off to you, and I can just say that you must be some of the strongest people in the world. May the Lord bless you and your family, stay sweet!

So onward & upward we go! We just got 2 new "family" members the other day, LOL, okay so the truth is we got 2 pigs, YES PIGS, official ones!!! You know the ones that eat, smell & act like pigs! Not my children, which don't feel bad anyone could easily mistake them for. Anywho.... the plan is to raise them until their good and chubby and then off to the slaughter house they will go. I'm sure that the kids will have a rough time with it, but it's just life!

So there is a hint of sanity around here, well maybe not even a hint, but there are 3 less people here from 7am and 4pm!!!! Well this helps my sanity a little. So we are celebrating our 3 oldest being in school FULL TIME!!! That just leaves me with our 3 youngest.

Now that the first week is over with and some shred of organization is returning I have the chance to reflect on my past. It seems like just the other day I was coming home from the hospital with my oldest child. I remember gazing into his eye's and thinking that time could stop right now and I would be in sheer bliss. Then to my surprise the same thing with my 2nd, 3rd, and so on.

So I find myself now, since the birth of our 6th child wondering where the time went. Where did all those precious moments go, why are they growing up so fast, it's not fair, did we teach them what they need to know, how to be kind, compassionate, charitible, respectful, full of intergity??? Did we deal with each moment as though it was the last? Do they know that they are our whole world. That our day & night set on them? I pray that they do.

I guess we just keep trudging along, even when it feels impossible. I try to not play into the day to day time consuming "little things" like laundry, dishes and arguing. I am now more diligent in watching all they have to offer, all the unconditional love, unbridaled zest for life, their corky expressions, because in time, not to far from now, I will be sitting here again wondering where the time has gone, and if we did our best.

I am truly blessed, with more than I have thought I would have. My Heavenly Father has and continues to watch over our family each second of every day. I don't know why he has blessed my family so abundantly but I am truly humble by his kindness, his trust & his love. Let's all huge our loved ones a little tighter because time truly does FLY!

okay so offically tomorrow is the last day of school here and I am wondering what/how I'm going to handle all 6 of my kids at home. Let see on the planning board we have trips to Grandmas, trips to the lake, piano lessons, moving, park days, swimming, and maybe a short trip to the Hoover Dam! I think that should cover it I hope! I wish all of you out there that are in the same situation the best of luck, and may your sanity hang around a bit!

Baby # 6 has made his debut! Finally on February 22nd, only 10 days late! He weighed in at
9 lbs and 21 1/2" long! All went well and I didn't have to be induced, YEAH! I made it ALL natural for the 6th time and feel great! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for our family!

So as you can all see, I have a little less than 2 weeks left before #6 gets here, and I am so unprepared, which is funny to say on #6, but its true! I just barely went through baby clothes the other day, and haven't done anything else. I don't know if its because I'm too tierd, old, fat or if I'm just totally overwhelmed, probably a little of each! Anyway today (Saturday) I'm going to put forth and honest effort to become prepared!

How do you stay on top of everything??? Between Scouts, Activity days, homework, church callings and now wrestling, 4-H and orchestra I don't know how to keep up! The funny thing is, is that each kid is only doing 2 things and there not even every week! I guess the lump answer is that I have WAY to many kids, LOL!!!

So I think becoming more organized is the true answer, right?? So how do you do that, HAHA!! I guess trial and error, each family/person is different, so off to the races to see what I can get done! Wish me the best!

So 16 days left until my due date, and boy am I ready! I have officially hit the uncomfortable, miserable, & downright mean part (according to my husband) and I'm just ready for it to be here!

Okay maybe not "ready" but willing to have it here! My kids are excited and I'm hoping for a quick and uneventful delivery!

By the 6th time they should just fall out right???

I just wanted to say a big thanks to my husband and kids, for being so supportive and helpful and excited about our upcoming addition! I am truly blessed! I have been surround by love and support the whole way, what a blessing! Thanks to all of you that have been rallying around me! Thanks, it means a lot to me and my family! So my grandfather who had a stroke this last summer has more heart problems. I decided that needed to quit procrastinating and travel North to Salt Lake! So my sweet husband sent me on my way Thursday and on I went. I made it there late and crashed at my mom's house. The next day I was lucky enough to visit with my Aunt who had suffered a pulmonary embolism and is doing well and then off to see my grandpa at the VA Hospital!
I didn't know what to expect, but much to my surprise he looked great(all things considered) we was awake and alert and crackin' some jokes! What a relief! I was able to visit with him and then my grandma when she arrived. I did well until the good byes and then I lost it. I cried and told him that I love him, and that he needed to get better for his upcoming 83rd birthday! He smiled and said he wanted chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.
I left thinking of how lucky/spoiled I have been to still have ALL of my grandparents. I hope that all of our prayers will be answered and he will not suffer and just pass away quietly and peacefully! I am so grateful for the example, support & knowledge that he has shared with me throughout my life! Thank you Grandpa. I look forward to the day when I see you again!

So I thought that this year I would instead of doing the 12 days of Christmas I would do the give some of the reason's that I love my Savior Jesus Christ. So today I thought I'd start with

Selflessness....
Selflessness is the true definition of Love. It is one of the things that I think a lot of people struggle with! Our world these days are all about "me" not about how are actions, wants or demands may affect those we love, or those who will be caught in the moment. I am a mother of 5 1/2 children and I have experience first hand how much selflessness plays in my daily life. If I chose to be selfish my family would for sure fail. My marriage at times has suffered horribly because of my "selfish" acts along with my direct family and extended family! It is a "natural" man characteristic to be selfish I think, but I don't believe that we should act on it. If you truly are trying to become "Christ" like than this is one of the most important things to control.
The Lord performed the most "selfless" act that any man has ever done. He gave his life for ours. Could or would we do this for someone(s) that we loved. Do we find our daily thoughts and actions following his example of selflessness? If the answer is no than we must take a hard look at our priorities in life!
Let us all try to become "selfless" in our actions. The world would by no means be worse off!

Example.....
Jesus is the ultimate example! When people hurt, or judge, do we act as he does? Or do we act like mortal man! Do we strive everyday to try to do our best, truly try? Do we show our children, family and strangers a "Jesus" like example? This is something that I struggle with each and everyday! When I feel that it is impossible, all I have to do say a little prayer and ask for his understanding and his guidance. If anything in the end I feel his loving support surrounding me and pushing me to try to do better! Let us try not only during the holiday season but all year long to be an "Jesus Example" to all those we love and come into contact!

Unconditional Love....
Jesus and Heavenly Father love each and everyone of us unconditionally! How is that, when most people mock, judge and deny them. How is that they can have such a perfect Love??? I try to compare it to my own children. There are days that my heart breaks for decisions and choices they make, but yet every night I find myself praying for their well being, their health, their happiness among so many other things, and I am not perfect like our Father in Heaven!

They must watch and pray for our well being too, as only family can. I am grateful that I have such and wonderful example in my life on how and what I should be trying to accomplish in my life. Unconditional Love.... for not only my husband, children and family, but for complete strangers. There is no better example that we should ALL aspire to be then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.

Let's all try just a little harder to be "Christ Like" in all we do, to show unconditional Love and compassion as they do each and everyday. Because I am sure with all my heart that we as their sons & daughters will cause more heart ache to them then we will ever have to endure!

Understanding....
Jesus undertands everything. He understands our trials, hardships, experiences, etc. He knows the true intentions of every mans heart. Could we all wish that we could "understand" with such love each and every person in our lives. The world would be a better place!

I have a wonderful husband that is my best friend and my eternal companion, 5 1/2 wonderful kids, good health, a great community, wonderful friends & family, and so many more blessings I can't list them all! I wish that everyone could be as blessed, but I think if we all truly look at our lives we are all blessed abundantly!

So I just want to let everyone know that today is my baby's first birthday. I really can't believe that it's been a year since we welcomed him into our family. He is #5 and is just an all around great baby. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is always right by my side (good & bad) and always is excited to see me. I am truely blessed as a mother to have such great kids.

So we are moved to the new/very old house. So over the last 2 weeks we have fixed electrical, plumbing, painted, CLEANED and then cleaned again. The down side to living in an older house is that you can't seem to get anything clean enough. We painted, scrubbed walls, cleaned carpets, etc.... It has been an enormous headache but we're starting to get things under control, at least we're trying too!!!

So we went to our new ward today and everyone was super awesome. They all said Hi and helped make us feel like we've lived here our whole lives. What a great place we have found. Thank you to everyone for your support!

So we are moving again. Due to the lovely economy, this is one of the steps we are taking. For all of you who have already "Been there, done that", hats off to you. I have to tell you I DREAD MOVING, and to make it more fun since our last move we have added another little member to our family which in turn adds that much more "STUFF" to the move. Needless to say we are moving about an hour and a half north of here which is great because I'm just that closer to my family, but I guess the all of it is that it's just a really HUGE pain to move a family of seven! Okay so my rant is over. Hopefully this move will truely benefit our family!!!!!

So I have to tell you I didn't vote for this man. I usually go with my gut instinct when it comes to voting, and I can say you this guy made me sick from the get go. Not as though there were really great choices. ANYWAY........ I have watched this man over the last 6ish months cause so much hate, discontent, DEBT, separation, deceit, finger point ETC. ETC. .......... It just makes me sick. Don't get me wrong, he is very easy to listen to, he is eloquent with his words. He tells everyone what they want to hear (AKA a true politician) and I have just had it. I am so sick of the things that he and his administration have set forth, things that not only my children, but my grandchildren are going to have to pay for. Our economy is no better than before he started, matter a fact I believe it is worse. But worse than that he has managed to put an even DEEPER wedge in our country. Playing the whole race card, and that he is just like all of us, what a bunch of crap. So for all of you that fell/keep falling for his large load of B.S. I feel for you. I have never wanted to be proved wrong more in my life. But I can say without a doubt that EVERYONE better hold on to their hats, cause its only going to get worse. HOPE I'M WRONG!!!!!!

So 4th of July was just kind of laid back. We took our kids the the park here in our town and played on some bounce houses and had some treats. There is an older gentleman every year that does a thing called the "Candy Cannon". It's this homemade cannon that he created where he fills it full of candy and then shoots the candy in the air for all the kids to get. Talk about a sugar HIGH. They always have so much fun doing that. Anyway after that we went out to another park and hung out with our family. We had food, did karaoke and just did a whole lot of nothing. After that we had a little BBQ dinner at my brother in laws house & watched 2 sets of fireworks. The kids had a blast. My husband (aka the biggest kid) took the boys out 4 wheeling out in the sand and managed to break the drive line on our truck, yeah you heard me right..... So anyway other than that it was a great day.

So I wanted to say to all those who have either served in the Armed forces before, currently or in the future, just a big "THANK YOU" from the bottom of our families heart. We are such a blessed country. We live in the most blessed land in the world. We enjoy so many luxuries in this land that no one else has. We owe it all to the service men and women that give so much and ask for so little. Lets all of us try to be just a little more like them and a little less ungrateful!

So it has been a while since my last post, I know, I know, can you say SLACKER!!!! So I am trying to make amends. I have had all five of my kids home .....summer break...... I have dealt with 3 kids in baseball, scouts, activity days, baby showers, weddings. My husband and I flew to Kentucky to look at some properties for 3 days, which might I add was a beautiful place with very friendly people. My grandfather has been sick and trying to stay alive. My husband has been out of work for 5 weeks. We have had an array of sickness, ear infections, dentist visits, family visits. Actually come to think about it, I have had people at our house everyone weekend since before Memorial Day! So needless to say LIFE has been a little busy. But I feel like I'm starting to catch up for a minute, so I will hopefully be better and blogging, or we can at least be hopeful!

Just wanted to say a big "THANKS" to all of you who tuned in to watch our little guys big TV Preview. He was so excited to see himself on the TV. We had a little get together with my brother in law and his family and sat back and laughed. What a little character he is. I have to say that he keeps me on my toes each and everyday. So on Saturday my husband and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! WOW, how the years fly! It seems like just yesterday we were standing there so young promising to love, honor, & cherish each other. Now fast forward 11 years and 5 beautfiul kids later and boy has it been a ride. We have experienced so many things together. I can say he is my best friend, he brings out the very best in me (even when I don't want him to) and he is always there by my side. He loves me unconditionally when alot of the time I don't deserve it and is there to rally in my corner come what may! I feel so blessed to have him in my life. We even went one step further on January 15, 2005 and were sealed to each other and our children for "Time & All Eternity" in the Las Vegas, NV. Temple. What a special day in our families life. I will never forget that moment that for so long eluded us, but we made it! I thank my Heavenly Father every day for my best friend to spend eternity with and 5 precious spirits he has sent us to love and nurture! Thank you to the love of my life for 11 wonderful years and many more to come! I LOVE YOU!!!

Life is so short....

So Monday night I get a phone call from one of my sister in laws telling me that my sweet little nephew Cayden had passed away from complications of RSV. Let me tell you I almost thought I was going to fall apart. Cayden was a month older than my baby. The sweet little boy had been a fighter from the beginning. He was born 7 weeks premature and had battle with RSV for the last month or so. So I went to the hospital to try to help my sister and brother in law, but what do you say. I got there right as they were leaving to go to the mortuary. I have to tell you that it was one of the most heart wrenching moments in my life. I watch this poor sweet mother hold her little boy and just cry. Thankfully her bishop was there and about 12 other people to help their little family. I just have to tell you I just lost it. I couldn't even imagine loosing any of my children, I don't think there is any worse pain that you could experience. Anyway the bishop and my other brother in law gave both of them a blessing of love & comfort that their little angel was safe and happy. They were both so strong, I'm sure that the shock was still going on, but I just admire them both.
So needless to say that night I held my kids just a little tighter and told them how much I love them and how proud we are of them and who they are becoming. I slept with my baby that night, just holding him and being so grateful for my most precious 5 little blessings. Just remember that life is so short, tell everyone in your life how much they mean to you, you never know when your last day on this earth may be!

PARENTING 101

So I would like to say after having children for the last 10 years that I have done okay, and that's probably me being over confident, but anyway, I would just like to say that on good old St. Patty's day we had a real scare with my 3rd child. I don't want to let the whole world know but let's just say I think that it aged me a good 20 years in 20 minutes. Anyway the point to the post is to tell everyone don't ever get comfortable/arrogant about being a good parent, because the Lord has a funny way of putting you in your place. I think not only was I was suppose to learn how much my children mean to me but it was like him saying "Hey I heard you judging that parent so let me give you a piece of HUMBLE pie!" So that being say I am letting everyone know that I am just a little more humble than at the first of the week and hopefully a little wiser!!!!

New Years Resolutions Cont.....

Okay so I've been a little busy but I don't want anyone to think that I have dropped my resolutions. That being said, I would love to inform everyone that I have made a huge improvement but unfortunately not so much! So the scripture thing has not improved to much which is really disappointing but fixable. I am really focusing on being a better example to everyone but mostly to my kids. I love those little guys! So I have also added to my list to loose some weight. Now you might say that is on everyone's list, but I have some motivation other than the fact that I NEED to desperately. So that being said I have been asked to be in yes 2 weddings this year. So I thought what a better reason, right???? So I'll keep you updated keep your fingers crossed!

HOLY CRAP

So since it's been a while since my last post, I thought I'd update everyone a little bit. Things have been very hectic, between kids & school and constant sickness, but that all aside I have great news, we FINALLY paid off my van. Oh, my goodness you say, tell me about it. I actually paid it off on the 13th but it couldn't have been sooner. I am so thankful that it is finally done. So I don't think we will ever venture into dual car payments, we've done it to long! So now we are working on paying of my husbands truck which will be much more of a project but oh well what do ya do!!!!

So I have sad news today. A family that I indirectly kind of know about, okay actually my sister in laws, ex-husbands kids were hurt today in an accident. Their mother left the house to move some vehicles and apparently 2 of the children followed. So the mother backed out and ran over them. The oldest child died instantly and the youngest is in serious condition. I have never actually met this family but my heart goes out to them.

This sad news just made my heart ache. I know that if you have children you just automatically put yourself in this poor womens shoes, what would you do, how would you react, how would you live with this the rest of your life???? I just don't know if I could do it. I just want to hug her and tell her it will be all right, but I don't even know her.

I don't think that there would be anything harder than loosing a child. Actually that is one of my greatest fears. I just hope that we can all put their family in your prayers,for the Lord to ease the pain and suffering that they must be experiencing right now, and also in hopes that their youngest will recover fully! Please remember them and pray for them!

SUPERBOWL

Okay so we had a GREAT Superbowl on Sunday. It started out with 3 families and turned into like 25 people but it definitely made it fun. So we ate a TON of food and hung out. I didn't even watch the game until the 4th Quarter which was great because that was when all the fun started. I do have to say that I don't usually watch superbowl but I found my self screaming and jumping up and down for the Cardinals. I really wish that they would have won but oh well! They definitely gave it their all, especially #11 Fitzgerald, what a great player. So I hope that everyone had as much fun as our family did!

Okay so the diet thing is not going so great because of a few items but more so just the chocolate thing. So I admit that chocolate/sweets is my downfall. It hasn't always been that way. I think I just gave into my sweet tooth with my 3 child and have never got it in control since then. Frustration is the understatement, because of a few things, I am suppost to be in 2, yeah you heard me 2 weddings this year! One the first part of May which is for my friend that I've known since we were in 8th grade and the other is that end of June for my baby sister. Yeah so there is no pressure or anything, LOL!!!! So I have given myself a deadline, which is the end of this month to tapper off the sweets and then the first of February thats it!!! I not only want to look good for all these upcoming event, but I am just tierd of being heavy! So you of you have suggestions or words of advice they would be greatly appreciated!

Possiblities

So 2009 may be an challenge already. So my husband and I are thinking that another move may be in our future. Seeing that construction has been badly hit by the recent ecconomic downturn, along with about every other area, my husband may have to rethink his line of work. There are possiblities in a few different lines of work, but we're not sure which one to go with. So I have come to the conclusion that anyone who knows us should NEVER write our address in ink. Apparently this is a way of life for me and my family. That tantrum aside, the most important part is that our family is together, right, RIGHT!!!!! Anyway we are trying to stay positive. That being said, my husband and I have been praying ALOT of guidance and answers. Hoping that the Lord would just send us a clear and defined answer, well I hate to let everyone know but he doesn't seem to answer that way very often, LOL!!! But he does let you know that he's listening, and in my life that means alot. So after my husband and I have been discussing our options I am driving along and stop at this red light and low and behold there is a car with the license plate from the state that we are thinking of moving to right in front of me, and let me tell you that there are not alot of these plates floating around here. I just sat back and smiled. It made me feel okay about the upcoming decision, like the Lord is saying, I heard what you asked and I'll get back to you on it!!! So He does here us, and send us little reminders that he's there.
All I can say is that if we move to this new destination it is sure to bring a whole lot of new ways, and I'm sure a TON of new experiences. I'll keep everyone posted.

New Years Resolutions

Okay so I am really excited about my New's Years Resolutions. I think because I am getting older and (hopefully) a little wiser I've decided to not limit myself to a particular item just a theme. So here I go:
1. Strength the Unity in my family by being a better example. (MOST IMPORTANT)
2. Love who am I am where I am at this point in my life.
3. Strengthen my testimony and Love for the Lord
4. Read the Book of Mormon - ALL OF IT!!!!!

I'll keep you posted on my progress. I have not set unrealistic goals, I've decided that I will accomplish what I can in 2009 and just be happy with my self. I hope all of us can work just a little harder on being a better "YOU" Good Luck!

So today is Friday and I had to do the very depressing moment of filing for unemployement! Yes, I know you can't believe it. I honestly can't believe that we've been as blessed as we have to have NOT had to file till now. With my husband in the field of construction we've actually been blessed to still have a job. We haven't offically got the pink slip yet, but I feel it knocking on our door. We still have hope that he will return to work on Monday but who knows. So we are joining all the other ranks of people in this horrible situation. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the positive side of the problem. I still have my family, our health and great children, so I guess it can't be all that bad. So for all of those that have been in this situation longer than I my heart goes out to you. I wish all of you the very best!

Ecconomy Sucks

So I have to sound off on the economic crisis thing, I believe full heartedly that the reason that we are in the situation that we are is because we are a very greedy and self serving people. I think as a Nation we are not the "sharpest tools" if you know what I mean. I just think that we focused more that is truely important like our families, our spiritual growth, our communities and our nation as a whole, we would be not only in a better state but also a better example to the world. I know that is sounds cheesy and almost too simple, but if you really look at everything that is going on in the world today, I think the core answer is simple. So this is my view, as innocent as it may be.

Christmas Update

So thought I would let everyone know that we managed to make it through Christmas!!! Yeah for my family. We ended going to spend Christmas with my mother-in-law and left home on Christmas Eve. Which was not my choice, but oh well! All that aside my kids were excited to see their cousins. Wayne & Gennie were unable to make it but all the other 10 kids were there! Quite a feat if you think about it! We spent Christmas day playing with the kids toys and hanging out with the in-laws. All in all I think everyone quite enjoyed their time together. I hope all of my family & friends got my Christmas letter (even though it was probably AFTER Christmas). I hope all is well with everyone out there in CyberSpace. I hope that your 2009 year is a prosperous one!

Oh WOW Part 2

So I thought that I would let everyone know that all the Sisters that attended my lesson made it out alive. I would love to say that they all left totally spiritually uplifted by I'm just not that good. All in all the lesson went well. I had a TON of participation which allowed me only to get through half of the lesson, but that was just fine with me! So I hope that I am good for a while but according to Sister Hill my turn may be sooner than later, YEAH!!! Thanks for all of your prayers!

Oh WOW....

So the other day I answer a phone call from Sister Hill in my ward, and low and behold there I am in that weird moment as you here on the other end of the phone "I was just wondering if you could teach the lesson in Relief Society on Sunday?" My insides are saying "NO" but the spirit screams
"I LOVE TO"......What just happened, I don't know. So I'm trying to brush it off like this won't be a big deal, YEAH RIGHT, so I grab my lesson manuel and low and behold the title of the lesson is
Gaining Knowledge of Eternal Truths yeah sure this should be an easy lesson NOT!!!!

So all my gripping aside I am on my way the church to see how much the Lord can speak through me because I don't know anything. So I have prayed, and prayed more and finished with another prayer and off I go. I'll post later and let you know if all the Sister's made it out alive, LOL!!!!

TV is my ENEMY!!!!!

So for all of you that have children I hope that you can relate, ( I would surely hate to hog all the fun) but my children are CONSTANTLY turning on the TV. Anytime that I'm not looking, or am busy doing something. So in all honesty its mostly my fault, because a lot of time its a great distraction for my kids while I finish up one of my MANY ongoing projects, justification aside, I have informed my children that we will be starting a reward system at the first of the year. For the times that they do what their asked, be kind, help without asking, don't WHINE, they will be rewarded with points/ticket, and when they have something they really want to watch (if appropriate) they can redeem their tickets and watch their show, or play their video game. So I am curious if this sounds affective to anyone, or should still attempt the "IRON FIST". Let me know what you think or give me some other ideas to help the problem!!!!! Thanks

The True Meaning....

So my family and I have not been exempt from the economic crisis. With Christmas knocking at our door and having 5 young children that have wish lists a mile long, I am desperately trying to teach them the "True Meaning" of Christmas. I am so disgusted with the world today, with how everything that is so sacred in meaning is cheapened by the "what we wants" and the "your really cool if you haves." We are having a hard enough time trying to raise kind, humble, respectful & well rounded children without the world desecrating all that is sacred. I hope that this holiday season we can ALL try to come back to the meaning of the season and put the "Christ" back in Christmas!
